This service is for anyone residing in the Greater Toronto Area that is affected by violence or abuse in their personal life. You don’t need to be sure about what’s happening or have a label for it. We’re here if you’re:
– Experiencing fear, control, or harm in any relationship (partner, family member, or someone else)
– Dealing with unwanted sexual attention, harassment, or assault
– Feeling unsafe or controlled by someone in your life
– Being followed, watched, or contacted against your wishes
– Questioning whether what’s happening to you is okay
– Worried about someone you care about (a friend, family member, colleague, or neighbour)
– Unsure if you need help but want to talk things through
You don’t need to be in crisis or immediate danger to reach out. Many people contact us just to make sense of what they’re experiencing or to learn how to support someone else. There’s no wrong reason to connect with us.
We welcome people of all genders, backgrounds, and immigration statuses. You don’t have to share any personal information you’re not comfortable with.
When you contact Safe Pathway, you will be connected with a trained professional who will listen and provide nonjudgmental support to address your needs.
When you reach out, you’ll speak with one of our trained professionals – counsellors, therapists, crisis intervention workers, or peer support workers who specialise in gender-based violence services. All team members are trained in trauma-informed, culturally sensitive support. They understand the complexity of gender-based violence and will meet you wherever you are in your journey.
When you reach out, we will listen without judgement and work with you at your pace.
